My copy sounds perfect i gave it a clean with my anti static/velvet/carbon fibre brush and not one crackle or pop, some people have a habit of using cleaning liquid on there records which can cause pops and crackles i just clean with velvet brush then wipe off with a near mint white cloth and records play perfect

Superb job by Kevin Gray on this, sound is absolutely terrific, great pressing as well. This seems to be same lacquer as the 2016 version. This is the one to get or the BG 2011 cut if you can find it.

Prince avoided releasing a copy of Purple Rain, which everyone expected. Luckily he didn't. Instead, he turned the corner with this album. His own Sgt. Pepper's album as I affectionately call it. Funky, Soul, Rock, Psychedelic. Keep an eye out for the 1st pressing. Perfect quality in sound and pressing.

EDIT: Anyone who is encountering issues like I was below, it's likely your turntable. I ended up purchasing an ATLP120xBT, to replace my Sony PSLX310bt. I'm fairly new to the hobby but it's clear the manual settings on the ATLP make a HUGE difference. I should've known that it was my turntable after encountering the same issue on multiple copies. The record sounds amazing now and I'm so glad I was able to figure it out!

I've tried 3 copies of this album now, and I've encountered a TON of skips, but I've encountered the same skip on each record (one received from Prince's official store, the other 2 from Amazon). The skip occurs during Prince's counting at the beginning of Paisley Park. Is this a common issue with this version? It's driving me crazy, I'm ready to try looking for a different release.

This pressing sounds really good. I was hesitant at first to purchase but happy I did. Sounds way better than the version on cd.

is this analog or digital and whats the sound quality? anyone?

is this 2022 release an AAA cut/release? .. . .

My husband's favorite Prince song is on this album. Raspberry Beret. It's another great album. The man was a genius, backed up by other musical geniuses.

Does the Re-issue still have Balloon boy on the shrink ? Or a Sticker of Balloon Boy ?

Love this reissue. Sounds clear and has great dynamics. I only owned the original CD release before this, and this pressing sounds much better.
