- One of the absolute best sounding records in my collection. Virtually no surface noise, excellent soundstage and dynamics, not to mention the unique color. Nothing but good stuff to say about this package and pressing.
- Wilco + Chris Bellman + Bob Ludwig = perfection. An amazingly underrated album that sounds so much better on vinyl. Two features for this pressing; First, Glenn’s drums (a major highlight on Ode to Joy) really stand out — penetrating bass with a purpose. And the soundstage on We Were Lucky! Just phenomenal.
- hmm … all in all I can understand most of the comments here but for me musically it is one of
their weaker albums. I am sorry. I am not talking about the lyrics. they may be more personal, more intimate as other wilco records. my pink copy is flat but some noises and pops are hearable. the record sounds not bad but far
away from „great“. at the end not my favest release of them. but that everyone has decide for himself. - Edited one year agoThis sounds good. I recommend it if you want this album on vinyl. In my opinion, it has equal or more impact than the CD, depending on your format preferences.

No problems whatsoever with this pressing. Wilco is always exciting to listen to, even though I wouldn’t rank this record among their very best.referencing Ode To Joy (LP, Album) DBPM-010-20-LP
My copy also came a bit warped, playing like that on side A. Maybe that contributed for the underlying surface noise to be more noticeable on that side. It's also present on side B (a bit of crackle, but really low volume, it almost doesn't compete with the songs), but this side plays completely flat.
Anywhow, pretty good mastering. I'll keep this one even with the issues mentioned above. It's just a shame because we'd have a near 5 star release without those and a better jacket.

Was this pressed at RTI? Don’t see Pallas markings. Wilco always used to use Pallas…- Edited 3 years ago

My copy was dished although it seems to play fine. - 2021 Grammy winner for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package (Lawrence Azerrad & Jeff Tweedy, art directors), Chicago edition.
