My copy has the labels on the wrong sides. The Maurizio mix is credited to Carl Craig. Cool story eh?

i think this is the release i got. no catalogue in the runout or anything, but its a recent repress and the labels match. outstanding sound, even from my shitty setup

Anyone else had a copy from this original release where the hole is on centre, but one side is pressed off-centre? I just received one where Side B plays fine but Side A sways widely and has strong 'wow' to the sounds. Unlistenable. I want to be able to play both, so hole carving not an attractive option :-(

Does anyone else think they should of made the labels grayscale to fit with the record?

I agree, it would have given it a very Noir sort of vibe

Is this reissue pressed using the NSC masters or the D&M's? because they sound like a D&M master rather than the NSC's.

Look in the dead-wax for a NSC or D&M. Pretty sure that the NSC's for "Domina" have not been pressed since the D&M re-cut for the 2003 10th anniversary edition.

I'm a snob, and Carl's remix is really a tour de force of electronic dance music. It's for the self-aware dancers, feelers and beings. Moritz's version is fantastic example of minimal Detroit techno, yet not only am I a sucker for some deep tracks, but Carl's remix I consider one the the most memorable 4 on the floor beat songs ever. I never get tired of it, ever. Over and over again please. If I want to be taken on an emotional journey...this song is it.
You can experience joy, sadness, or contemplation...all in one. The epitome of what some like to refer to the essence of the "deep" sound and is heard quite similarly in his work on "Televised Green Smoke." A song you may want played after you die, your child is born, or ponder your existence.

I agree with your point of view.
It's a classic!Both mixes are great.
The Carl Craig mix is my favourite.A timeless track and so laid-

Maurizio mix is one of the best techno tracks of all time, a true masterpiece! Some weirdness to mention is that in the middle of the track it suddenly fades out, and then some very different track comes in. This is so Berlin underground stuff. If you don't know the feeling, visit their record shop in Kreuzberg and listen to this record after it (if you don't have it yet, buy it there..). Then you'll understand...

I've been listening to this for over a decade(tresor compilation 3) and still my favourite techno track of all time . Every element is Perfectly sculpted and the mix is flawless and simply beautiful. BUT.. I don't like the Carl Craig remix, tried it loud, tried it high but it just doesn't work for me. But in fairness anything is going to be pale in comparison to such a masterpiece.

for me it was the soundtrack of 1997, yes i was late.
but once you ve got these three cuts, there's no way back. you meet maurizio and carl at their best.
All three cuts cover very different territories, but are masterpieces at their own game. Impossible to pick a favourite, once you pick one, you'll change your mind many times depending on the situation.
the lacquer cut is excellent too. For me, personally, one of my defining moment both in terms of quality dj tools, and sound design/studio routing.
