- My disc 5 side A has two tiny imperfections that causes clicks for several revolutions each. Anyone else?
- Anyone able to confirm if the time for Earth Blues (1/1/70 Early Show) is actually 8:50, as opposed to the 5:50 listed? Would hate to think 3 min of the sick jam was cut out

I was finally able to snatch a US pressing at 14,000 yen today, sealed but owned copy at DU. This is another bad example of European copies are done at GZ and US at QRP. Up until today the copies available in my country have been all GZ!referencing Songs For Groovy Children (The Fillmore East Concerts) (8×LP, Album, Box Set, ) 19075982761
Should this supersede Band Of Gypsys? Does the mix between shared tracks vary or differ?- Edited 2 years ago

Incredible sounding release, clear and punchy.
Really an awesome quality box set
If You love Mr. Hendrix this is the ultimate release historically speaking.
I love more to listen to Him playing with The Experience, but this Concert Series is ridiculously great. referencing Songs For Groovy Children (The Fillmore East Concerts) (8×LP, Album, Box Set, ) 19075982761
In my opinion, besides a UHQR this is about as good as Jimi can sound. Excellent SQ!referencing Songs For Groovy Children (The Fillmore East Concerts) (8×LP, Album, Box Set, ) 19075982761
As I am not deep into Jimi's repertoire, this to me is a hell of a good release. I could'nt stop listening. The price is totally fair, as this is a quality record pressing. They seem to save costs on the package, but if this is the reason for the fair price, they made the perfect decision.- Received another copy of box set. Noticed bottoms of record sleeves are frayed and worn. By the looks records are jostled in box. Causing bottoms of sleeves to split. See pic in listing
- Edited 2 years agoI don't see a comment listing the physical comparisons between the numbered (US) and non-numbered (Europe) vinyl box set, so I thought I would list those differences here, as I own both and there are several that are notable:
1. The non-numbered box is about 1/4 inch taller than the numbered set when both are laid flat on a table. Interesting, as they both contain the same items.
2. The graphics on the numbered outer box top is the type of ink in which all the lettering catches the light and "shines" when viewed at certain angles. The non-numbered box is just flat ink that does not have that feature.
3. The inner sleeves for the records in the numbered set are MoFi-type sleeves with "Quality Pressings" printed on them. Excellent sleeves; they are used in many of the other recent Hendrix reissues and new records put out by the estate. In the non-numbered set, they are thin, generic clear anti-static sleeves. Because they are substantially thinner, in my box they were also folded over in a lot of the corners upon first pulling the records out for the first time, and it was a bit of struggle straightening them out to slide them back in more satisfactorily .
4. The booklet in the numbered set is slightly bolder in terms of ink quality. This is very slight, but it is noticeable. Additionally, the record covers in the numbered set are a little shinier. The non-numbered covers are more matte-like.
5. In the deadwax run-out of every record, the handwritten numbers are the same - for instance, on disc one, side one, 19075982761-A is hand-written. However, ONLY the numbered set also has BG (for Bernie Grundman). Additionally, the non-numbered discs have a stamped number on each record that is not on the numbered set's discs. For example, disc one, side one has 196360E1/A stamped.
I believe that's it. Hope this is all helpful for my fellow collectors.
