First time this legendary album has been pressed on vinyl since 1988, this time with the outstanding Future Shock 45'. Now it's on the 1972 label, don't know much about them, but looks like they've reissued some great indie albums over the years. This used to be on Flying Nun of course. One of the best band's to come out of Christchurch, New Zealand..

Hate to say it, but the best way to listen to the Gordons was live. Phenomenal, and doing things Sonic Youth did years before But great to have to this clean copy.

There have been people on Discogs who've moaned about 1972, but I believe they did right by this release. I also have their reissue of John Zorn's Naked City, which I personally found to be excellent.

Seems like a small label that does what it can from release to release. May not always be a revelation, but who else is gonna reissue The Gordons?

One of the first ever truly heavy Post Punk bands ...for fans of Killing Joke / Joy Divison .....still sounds amazing today. A total classic !
