Buck Trent and his electrified banjo was the main guy behind Porter Wagoner's sound for years. You can easily recognize many Porter Wagoner songs by just listening to the intro. Same with Norma Jean and some of the early Dolly parton material. Here is one of his solo albums, with his typical sound played on a variety of songs, from slow to fast. Great musician, but after listening to one album you may get the feeling that you have heard the sound already before...referencing Give Me Five (LP, Album, Mono) BLP 1212
