Why is the cover "blueish"? My copy has the same color that most of the other versions.

Listening to this now. Purchased this new. Beautiful copy. The sound is absolutely pounding...it will put your sub woofer thru spasms. Just thrilling. I had this on cassette in the day...which I still have...still sounds fantastic. This vinyl has the same qualities but more dynamic ( of course). Sadly most of my Pixies is on cd (that was the thing at the time). But this version is so good and very LOUD...which in this case is fantastic.

It would be hard to say more good things about this release. Flat, quiet, balanced, gorgeous jacket, custom inner sleeve, and the one the best set of 14 songs you can find. All the things you want from a record

Can only speak for the stereo PCM mix, but it sounds amazing! Can't decide if it's better than my vinyl copy.

Odd bug(?) I noticed was even when using the stereo mix it shows on my receiver as 5.1 PCM. Anyone else?

Just a fabulous pressing. Packaging also has heft to it. Impressed for the $22 I paid for it.

Flimsy CD card packaging which does not do the music justice at all. Where is a much desired booklet complete with liner notes of this seminal album and the demos? Surely they could have put more bloody effort into it! I bought this on the day it came out and was immediately underwhelmed by the fact that the original album wasn't even remastered. Compare the sound of this to the 'Death To The Pixies' CD from 1997 and see what I am getting at. I am not saying that everything has to be whacked up for the sake of it during remastering (viz: the loudness wars - where everything is super compressed) but the sound levels are exactly the same as on the original 1989 issue CD! That is - rather thin and weedy!
