Have three versions on this album. The 2 disc with alive in brazil is different as the japanese version is two bonus disc and actually a full concert instead. Although with having both the first disc is the actual album on both, also have a version with 13 tracks what is this?

Holy cow this is a straight up banger. People who jumped off the Sep because they have different members are really missing out on a huge catalog of some really bad ass metal.

Compared to the CD/digital release, the double LP release has a much better dynamic range, taken straight from the original mixes and mastered specifically for vinyl by producer Jens Bogren. It also helps that the entire album was split into two records, as envisioned by the band, which means no potential inner groove distortion.
This is definitely the album to buy on LP.

Heavy, fast, diverse, utterly proficient
Released in 2020, QUADRA is the fifteenth full-length album by Brazil’s Sepultura. It’s a concept album based on numerology, specifically the number four and its significance as illustrated in the Quadrivium, the four subjects or arts —arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy — taught after teaching the trivium of discourse (grammar, logic, and rhetoric).
Post-Max Cavalera Sepultura is my go-to band for primal-but-technical death/thrash/power metal with tribal-oriented percussion and various diversified elements (e.g. violin, cello, piano, bells, whatever). For those not in the know, band leader/composer Andreas Kisser joined the band as lead guitarist in 1987 in time to influence the group’s second album, SCHIZOPHRENIA. He brought a more technical expertise to the band, which can be increasingly observed in the post-Max albums.
Max, of course, departed the group in early 1997 to be replaced by Cleveland, Ohio’s Derick Green on vox. I wasn’t crazy about Green on AGAINST (1998), but fully accepted him as the band’s formidable front man by the time of their second album with him, the multi-faceted masterpiece NATION (2001). He’s proved his greatness & diversity as an extreme metal singer (not being moronic and one-dimensional, like too many tedious extreme vocalists).
As usual with Sepultura’s albums in the new millennium, this is an opus where you just press ‘play’ and enjoy from beginning to end. Highlights for me include “Capital Enslavement” with its tribal chants and uncanny symphonic embellishments; “Guardians of the Earth” with its opening flamenco guitar; the instrumental “The Pentagram”; and the closer “Fear, Pain, Chaos, Suffering” featuring guest singer Emmily Barreto. In addition, there’s “Ali” with its great thrashin’ chorus; “Raging Void”; and the haunting “Agony of Defeat” with Derick offering some clean vox to shake things up.
Whilst NATION (2001) remains my all-time favorite album by Sepultura, QUADRA ranks in the same masterful league as DANTE XXI (2006) and MACHINE MESSIAH (2017).
The twelve songs clock-in at a little over 51 minutes.

My immediate response to seeing that such a version of this album was released is to feel sorry for all those who bought it, as they will most likely have the single worst sonic experience of their entire lives.
Glow-in-the-dark vinyl is notoriously bad. So bad in fact, that it's considered to be sonically worse than picture discs and even flexi's.
300 copies... perhaps it'll become a collectable.
