Reviews
- High time we move on from bog-standard compilations of 1980s music, but I still would love to understand the thinking behind this one. The title implies there's some sort of theme to it but in reality it's neither here nor there and I struggle to notice one unifying thread that's supposed to tie all these songs together. Very nice all the same, and the decision to feature so many no-name/obscure performers is only to be applauded.
- What a shame that ‘The Winds’ by The Turquoise Swimming Pools is missing from the CD version. Any idea why?
- Best compilation i've heard this year. Most of these tracks i'd not even heard before.
Like the other Stanley/Wiggs comps it really has been beautifully put together. Turquoise Days and The Pale Fountains being particular favourites.
