Each track is good. This pressing is a must have in each collection because the instrumental version and "Total recall" are not included in the Archive CD Boxset.referencing The Great Divide (12", 45 RPM, Single) RMIC 7
Each track and mix is very good. The B2 track "Bolt it down" could be re-discovered as a "new beat" sound on the dancefloor.referencing The Great Divide (12", 45 RPM, Single) RMIC 7
Because the Archive CD Boxset seems not be mastered from the original master tapes, this original pressing (with wonderful sleeve) must be kept in each collection for the best sound.- Edited 14 years ago

Came out in 1985, this track is the band's most famous hit. With this one, the band began to pass beyond the underground limits to reach a larger audience. Despite a more "poppy" approach, Portion Control's basics stills : John Wybrew's unique agressive and powerfull voice, Simmons electronic beats, irresistible and danceable synth bass rythmics.
Forget the 12' version, this is the original one, the only one. If you can't find a vinyl issue, this one does figure on the 5 CD compilation "archive" .
