Simian Mobile Disco go for TEMPORARY PLEASURE with their second album, letting the psychedelic thrum of "Cream Dream" lead the way before the twinkling groove of "Audacity Of Huge" comes in. Indeed, this album seems to lean much more in a pop direction than their previous one, but they can still put out a a Vitalic-like stomper such as "10000 Horses Can't Be Wrong." "Off The Map" takes an Italo-direction with Jamie Lidell at the helm, while a touch of the islands seep into "Bad Blood." Telepathe lend their vocal harmonies to the jittery "Pinball." A definite change of direction for Simian Mobile Disco, and it's always good to keep things moving.
