John Mayer – Heavier Things

Same runout as the earlier Mov pressing and same credit to record industry pressing , so either leftovers or another run

This 5.1 mix is pretty good. It’s well balanced and a fun way to listen to this great album. If you’re into surround sound and a John Mayer fan you will not regret this purchase.

Just what a Columbia 6-Eye is supposed to be. Quiet, tight with good sound stage. It’s a very nice pressing of one of JM’s most solid outings. Easily worth $85-150 depending on condition.

It is a "better than expected" reissue.
It plays dynamic, but I wonder whether the original pressing is better or not...

I don't know what Jack Joseph-Puig was thinking when he mixed this but my goodness it is so distorted. I had hopes that the vinyl would sound better than the digital stuff out there but it's just as bad.

Whoever cut the cd did a really bad job. It's so bad. sounds like a boombox from 1993. this version is to be avoided. Music on the album is good. Songwriting is solid, good performance. Its got that pop shine but it feels authentic in a way.

This is a decent pressing. It does sounds like it was cut a little hot, so there may be some light clipping. Heavy on the bass. For the price I paid, $25, it's worth it. If you want to pay the $50-60 for the MOV copy, more power to you.

Have to agree, very inexpensive pressing and sounds just awesome. The remaster really shines on Clarity.

Great reissue from Music On Vinyl! Top detailisation and really loudly sound quality.

My own copy sounds great - this is such an underrated album and it's nice to have a good copy of it!
