This is very different from Fluxion style, it sounds rather similar to Autechre. Overall this is a satisfying Album, there's a good variety of tracks that sounds mysterious, dark and melancholic.

if you liked Tri Repetae..i'd give this one a chance.. this and "Redundant" are my reasons to believe he had the Midas touch backin the early 00s, different aesthetics, but always meaningful material.

Silex, another of Fluxion's alter egos, make his debut with ALPHABET, trading in the dub elements for more straightforward ambiance. Indeed, the album as a whole feels like a tribute to INCUNABUNA-era Autechre. "Holder," for instance, only has a few tones, but grounds things with a grinding percussive elements, while "Velot" purposefully sets the rhythm a bit off from the main melody. "Noem" sounds more mysterious, while "Retor" is reminiscent of Autechre's "Basscadet." Indeed, the jittery accumulation of sounds in "Glo Mo" and the abstract melodies of "Dimor" reinforce the comparison. "Bion Outer" ends the album on longer tones. Not the most unique, but still pleasant.

This record comes across sounding as a very poor-mans Autechre. The thin and watered-down sounds makes me wonder if the CD has been mastered properly? Nice sleeve though.
