referencing After The Rain (CD, Album) GUCD029
AFTER THE RAIN is another strong effort from neo-house-soulists Jersey Street. "Always Something Wrong" continues their penchant for writing emotional tracks with a modern twist. Dawn Zee's vocals are as powerful and emotive as ever. This album stays more on the downtempo side than their debut STEP INTO THE LIGHT, but it still features solid grooves and arrangements. "After the Rain" and "When Lovers Meet" are perfect for romantic evenings at home in candlelight. "There Is A Light" throws down the jazz rhythms and piano, while "Wipe Those Tears Away" picks up the tempo. The final track, "Rhythm of Love," takes its funk and runs with it. Another nice work.
