Vertical Horizon – Everything You Want

Great record, perfect sound, not a bad track on this album, and the translucent orange vinyl that looks amazing!

Not sure what these two noobs below me are smoking, but the MOV pressing sounds like complete trash compared to my SRC white vinyl pressing. This MOV pressing is lacking punch and dynamics on my high-end system, whereas the SRC pressing sounds lively and full.

Side 2 of my copy is pretty damn noisy by most any standard. Side 1 is fine. This is after wood gluing, so it isn't dirty, it's inherent to the pressing, at least my copy. I wouldn't say it's unlistenable or anything, but it's not great.

I've got a good 'table running an Ortofon Bronze.

Has anyone compared this to the 2016 pressing? That one was super weak IMO. The 2016 sounded like a CD rip with INCREDIBLY low mastering. Never had a chance to hear the MOV pressing.

After cleaning my copy twice, it's a good sounding pressing! Glad to finally add to my collection and not dump over $100, Amazon pushed back for about a month before I received it.

What would you like to say? (optional I remember this was basically the last of the 90’s albums, but played into the 2000’s. I considered this album some of the last 90’s sound. Glad to have this album and there are some heavier distortion rock songs on the album which is a change of pace from the radio hits.

Not impressed at all. Lots of surface noise throughout. I bought 3 copies from different retailers and they all sounded identical. In fact the bright cymbals and surface noise together just makes it sound pretty poor. This is after being ultrasonic cleaned. I’ll be sticking to the CD for this release. Such a shame.

Still dont understand how labels can not figure out that using anti static sleeves is the right way to go. We are talking about a 15-cent premium, I'd be happy to pay that. If they are that concerned about their bottom line.

Other than that, I'm surprised how good this actually sounds. It's not mind-blowing, but there is a decent soundstage. It's a bit bright, but i can live with that. Sadly, there is no mastering info or understanding who cut the laquer, but well done. We need more of these 90s records to be reissued.

Nothing too fancy here (no gatefold or anything) but the color is a good match to the cover and the pressing sounds fantastic. Will be staticky coming out of the printed sleeve though

A wonderful pressing! Bass is strong and clear, all harmonies stick right out in front! Love it! One of the best albums of the late 90's just got better!
