- I love the irony of a testimonial to sound quality on good vinyl included with the record, compared to the actual quality of this disc. 2 copies so far and neither have been anything like ‘good’.
Unfortunate as this is an album that deserved more attention and a better version than this mediocre at best pressing. 
I don't quite understand the "special thanks to Keith Emerson & Greg Lake" on this record (unless it was part of the notes from the original recording) since they are both passed away some 6 years ago and wouldn't have had anything to do with this release. Although collectable as an ELP item, this had to be the most unmemorable release out of their entire catalog, and I really can't fathom WHY there was even an anniversary release of this item!
Sounds a bit empty and flat across the board. Not much air in the soundstage. Unfortunately this was pressed by GZ Media and it cleaned up okay but still has a fair amount of crackles and pops as is typical for GZ. Disappointing overall. Sending this one back to Amazon.
Horrible, artificial sound. LP 'clicky' from brand new. Waste of my ears !

Is there any difference between this release Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Black Moon and Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Black Moon?- Edited 6 years agoThus far, two copies bought from different sources have a nice bowl shape!! UGH!! Where is the quality control today in pressing plants? It seems to be almost the norm these days to find QC issues with new pressings. Very unacceptable.
