Conveyor-Belt Babies Beat Show. A great title. Pity a lot of the content of the record is lost on me as I don't speak German.

Floh De Cologne were like a teutonic Fugs with similar satirical content and political motivations. There's quite a lot of spoken word on this but don't it put you off ... this is a great and shambolic trip record with a loose but very fierce feel.

Also it was the first ever release on Ohr records... and like all the Ohr catalogue it came with a very creative sleeve (the original had a balloon attached, much like the first Tangerine Dream).

Very well worth a listen if you like experimental, avant garde, lo-fi jamming, 'krautrock', chaos... and so forth.

Title in English means "conveyor-belt baby beat-show'.
Spoken-word social comment album satirising 'straight' society. Even though the words are all spoken in German it's a good record and I can enjoy it for its own sake. Kind of like The Fugs in a way. Enlightened hippies gazing down upon square society... that kind of thing going on here I think. Anything from this era on this label (Ohr) is automatically good in my book.
