Labi Siffre – Remember My Song

There is a pressing fault on Side 2 Track 1 (The Vulture) which makes most needles skip right after the drum intro. I've come across 3 original copies and they all do it in the same place. Some adjustment with a needle might remedy this but it's not 100% guaranteed.
Of course the best track (I Got The) - and the rest of the album - plays fine.

What a beautiful piece of art. Just so many fantastic moments on this album. Great pressing. Can't recommend this one enough.

Could somebody please enlighten me and tell me why this original edition goes for so much money? Were not many copies pressed?

On both my mint condition 1975 UK copies, there is a skip in the drum beat in exactly the same place on The Vulture. It can be counteracted by increasing the weight of the stylus. People think it’s a scratch but probably just a pressing glitch.

You’ll come for the Eminem sample, but you’ll keep coming back for everything else on this album. It really is great; the songs are personal and sung beautifully. Plus: Chaz n Dave. Highly recommended and a great press to boot.

attention, the label MR BONGO just reedited in 2019 this superb album of LABI SIFFRE, and I notice that some salesman list it on the reference of 2014 of MR BONGO! ... it smells like scam

Curious to me how scarce this seems to be now, as if it were pulled for legal reasons or something at some point?

It sounds good and like it was taken from the original tapes.
