Reviews
- My opinion is if you are really interesting about obscure sixties French female singer (or singing in French), try to find original Swinging Mademoiselle serie (3 LP only on vinyl) on Sasha Monet Records. It was done by a connoisseur.

For mainstream singers, you have the great serie issued by ACE as : C'est Chic or Toujours Chic or Très Chic, that is perfect with amazing sound on vinyl edition.

This comp rides on selections made by earlier, much better collections. In short, it's nothing but a rip-off, with no desire to bring us any new songs, any better sound quality or any new info about the much-loved French ye-ye girls.
The title is stolen from 'Swinging Mademoiselle', an excellent, well-known bootleg comp from 1999, which gives you some idea of how lazy and unoriginal this comp is. Plus no care has been taken to research any of the artists; the liner notes try to pad out the thinnest amount of info.
Seek out one of the better CD collections like Femmes De Paris, Sixties Girls, La Belle Epoque or keep an eye out for original copies of the bootlegs Swinging Mademoiselle and Ultra Chicks.
