Pressing quality is not very satisfying. Got two copys, one is warped and crackles sometimes, the other one is better, also with a few crackles and visible hairlines. Very cheap thin paper innersleeves - that sucks because nowadays we all know that there are better options.- Vinyl itself is good, both of mine are warped but it doesn't seem to affect playback.
The album itself, it's again like he's trying to be mainstream. The first few songs are alright, Appletree Boulevard is pretty good too, the rest are just kind of "there". Lyrics are right on the edge of being flat out cheesy with little subtlety at all.
I was hoping he might return to something like The Hour of Bewilderbeast, but if you're hoping for that, this is definitely not it.
