This Mortal Coil – Blood

All three of these remastered vinyls are excellent in terms of how they sound and that's really all that matters. Mine are quiet with great dynamics and staging. Revel in that amazing emotion.

My petty gripes are that you'd think after all these years 4AD would know how to make an album cover big enough to fit the records...geez. I will eventually damage the covers and the vinyls just trying to get them in and out...wow. Oh, and all three of my copies are warped, but playable. Ugh.

Sounds perfect to me. One of those rare, perfect albums from start to finish. People here complaining about pressing quality probably need to clean their gear a little bit before assuming poor sound is the record’s fault.

Quiet vinyl and the music sounds great, but voices are extremely sibilant, almost unlistenable. Played it with 3 different cartridges/stylus and it's really bad on all of them. A real shame.

Recently sorted my record collection and 3 albums are missing...take a moment and think how that feels.
This is one of them, gutted does not match the torment.
I wasn't prepared to replace my original for £80...so I bought this.
I am amazed how I can tell the difference. Nice job.
So much I'm tempted to buy the other 2015 vinyl remasters.

No complains at all with my copy. Highly recommended reissue.

My copy sounds obviously distorted through the first track, although all records played before and after were fine. Cleaned the stylus... No effect... The original pressing is MUCH, MUCH better. Did not have real issues with It'll End in Tears, even if it was not really silent in the groove. Filigree and Shadow was very noisy, lots of pops.

I bought all 3, and i'm quite happy with all of them. i have listened to BLOOD twice. I don't know if there is something i'm not hearing, but my copy is flawless ( listened on a modest set up, THORENS TD166 MKII / MARANTZ 2226B / BOWERS & WILKINS 685 S2 ). My only problem is with FILIGREE & SHADOW, some Non-Fill on side C. Apart from that, i think that 4AD did a great job. Play them loud, they sound so good that you will end up in tears...Alright, that one was easy.

My copy is quite noisy despite a thorough cleaning: Pops and glitches repeat across the first few tracks on side A. And the horrible sibilance on track 6 makes it near-unlistenable. Did not play the other sides. Very disappointed in this pressing.

At last! Waiting for comments about the pressing and the remastering now
