After listening to this you wonder what James was doing for the past 10 years. Why did he hold out on us for so long?! Since his releases from 1993 to 1997 he went AWOL. Until this release and Inner Peace brought him back with much welcome from his fans. Whether it was his label disputes or just being busy with work and family we are glad to see him back. Pick up all of his cdr's from 2005 through 2008 if you are at all a fan of idm material. These releases rival some of the best Black Dog material in their catalog. For an electronic artist to compare to.
Once you start to listen there is this strange familiarity with the sounds. Playing it today for probably the first time in 2 years it's like I was listening to it yesterday. Yes these have some staying power. What I like most about James is he is not afraid to go to extremes on what sounds good. He doesn't stay in the sweet spot. He drifts with progression to multiple sweet spots. Hard to really describe it all. It's just good deep emotive electronic music. Top guy too. Music is always more special when you get the music directly from the artist. James is as humble as they get. When it's all said and done James will get the respect he deserves by the electronic scene.
