Even after a good wet wash these records sound awful. The bass is way too wide and uncontrolled with lots of pops and crackles. My third record also had black spots throughout the beautiful red. Caused skipping. I returned this record and won't buy again- Gorgeous on vinyl. Feels proper somehow (doesn't it always?...but this one especially so). Love the distribution of tracks across four sides. All The Things To All Men occupying the whole of Side Three.
Special album to me, this. Memories. Associations. - It’s crazy that they added the two extra tracks “Oregon” and “Horizon”. They don’t fit the style, atmosphere, production, or even the same volume… they sound insanely out of place and are subpar tracks. Stop at the song Everyday; it’s a brilliant and sublime ending to a beautiful album. Superfluous and unnecessary to add those two tracks.

Sounds pretty good (nice and dynamic on tracks like Burnout with the shimmery chimes and the filthy bass)… the overall presentation however… I’m appalled. Disc 1 was warped, every centre sticker is damaged around the edges and the glossy black that has worn off was all over the discs. The inner sleeves are too tight which combined with the centre cut out is what, I’m assuming damaged the edge of label. The label on disc 2 was completely off centre on one side, and weirdly, the hole punched through just side of that label was too small.
Really not sure how anyone can be proud of the care taken in the physical production of this — especially as a special edition and at the price asked. referencing Every Day (3×LP, Album, Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition, Reissue, Red Clear, 20th Anniversary) ZEN 59XX
Quite disappointed at the over all quality of this record.
I thought a 20 years edition would be a qualitative collectible item that should last in time, whereas it is just a cheap pressing.
The center sticker is simply not acceptable!!!referencing Every Day (3×LP, Album, Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition, Reissue, Red Clear, 20th Anniversary) ZEN 59XX
Yes there is surface noise most notably on side C and in the quite parts it's bad.
Generally my copy is not too bad a play through as a whole...if you can tune out from the swooshing on side C then this is a deep, loud, dynamic recording.
Still charmed by this album.- Edited 6 months ago

I'm a big fan of the band, love this album but also have a lot of surface noise on the album. It gets covered by the music in the louder passages but CO's music is all finesse and...the beautifully ochestrated quiet passages...disappointed :(
Listening to it on Audeze LCD-X headphones + fully upgraded Debut Carbon EVO referencing Every Day (3×LP, Album, Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition, Reissue, Red Clear, 20th Anniversary) ZEN 59XX
My copy was warped, 2nd record side D is off center and scratched on the 3rd record side F. Got a replacement that is warped and off center, got in contact and said it needed a repress of secord 2. The replyed there was going to be a new batch and i would get one of those, i recieved a shipping notification a couple of days later so now have 3 copies of the same record with the same defect, i give up!!referencing Every Day (3×LP, Album, Deluxe Edition, Limited Edition, Reissue, Red Clear, 20th Anniversary) ZEN 59XX
My copy has a lot of surface noise. In sonic comparison with my previous black vinyl I have not noticed any differences and that one, at least, was much quieter. The next time I go to listen to this wonderful album I will surely go to that black vinyl and I will only use from the red edition, the vinyl with the bonus tracks. Very sad.
