The Beths – Jump Rope Gazers

I love the album but the side B of this album is pressed off-center, causing a sea-sick effect. I wrote in to Merchtable’s customer service, told them about my issue and asked for a replacement. The replacement was off-center too. I just wrote back to them and shared screenshots of this pressing’s reviews, asking them to pull this particular pressing from the online store, but I doubt anything will be done. It’s a bummer this pressing is still being sold online after reviews of it being off-center dating back to June 2022.

Picked this up cheap at UO the other day. It was sealed, opened the shrink and the jacket isn't even glued together at the top. Side B is terribly off center. Side A sounds good, but does make my needle wobble a bit, though nothing like side B. It's a shame this obvious pressing error wasn't corrected with the test pressings. This whole pressing should have been trashed. Who pressed this?

Same as other commenters -- Side B off center, with noticeable pitch shift. Sent back through my local store. We ordered the "lime" version and it's better but there is still a very slight off-center on side B. I just ordered the red version... we'll see.

I also bought the yellow "Expert in a Dying Field" and same thing -- side B off center. Sent back and ordered the "bone" colored version and thankfully it is perfect on boths sides.

This is a real disservice to The Beths and I wish they could get this corrected.

Side B is wildly off centre, pitch is seriously affected.

I've gone through two and can confirm its off center. Not the most noticeable but the pitch shifts do make me cringe at times.

My first one too and the return was completely off center.
Please send them all back. It is an insult what the presswerke allow themselves today for a crap!

Packaging:
The packaging is good and very much lives up to the norm. The outer sleeve has a nice matte texture. The inner sleeve is also printed and feels like a safe place for the LP to be stored in. Extra bonus points go to the card with the download code on it: they put the album cover on one side and stylized the other side like the hype sticker.
Media:
The orange colour of the LP is well-balanced. Not too brigt, not too dark or dull. More important is the fact that the pressing is good. The record is on-centre, flat and there are no noticable pops or hissing.
At a big record store here in the Netherlands I was able to buy this version, or the see-through version. I highly recommand you pick up one of these, seeing that the (according to reviews) the clear version suffers from being off-centre and not being flat.
All and all, good packaging and a good pressing. Couldn't wish for more!

Anybody else got the Tangerine orange UVRK-20021LP version with the japanese Obi strip - doesn't seem to be listed here...

Does anyone else's copy of this pressing wobble? Mine doesn't seem to really effect the songs too much except for the last songs on each side since they're a little slower and quieter it's more noticeable.

This record is great! The pressing is decently quiet and the sound/mix is clear enough, especially the voice, which could have easily gotten lost in the mix but truly stands out well. Oh and the music is exquisite too. I also have quite a crush on that vinyl color, to be honest hehehe
