terrible subsonic on my copy. Worst I've seen. Very annoyed.

Unfortunately, this pressing is like many of the Vital Vinyl series, poor quality with lots of pops and surface noise. Incredibly frustrating when getting a sealed copy of anything. Best to seek out other pressings if you want clean, pristine playback.

Geez, is no one checking these personnel listings? Vocals on track 7 is Helen Merrill, not Helen Mirren.

Sounds Great! Nice soundstage. Clean flat pressing and at a good price!

this mastering of Out Of The Cool is the best one out there. I have an original and a test pressing of this, and while the original is great, the Alto Analogue is even better. since the tape burned up in the 2008 UMG fire, good sounding copies of this album are only going to become rarer so if you see this for under $100, swoop it up.

The label shows "into the hot" as A-9-S. Completely different release. Does not belong here.

Hi, just wondering if this is what I have. Mine looks like Canadian pressing, black label - Impulse! Sparton, made in London, Canada? Is that the same release?

October 16, 2020This album benefits a lot from the 45 rpm treatment. It's not as punchy as my '68 copy (with Van Gelder in dead wax), particularly in "la nevada", but it's much cleaner, clearer instruments and bigger sound stage. A great release.
