Alanis Morissette – Such Pretty Forks In The Road

This album is a masterpiece. I’m glad I own a Canadian copy. Clear, well balanced, no pops and clicks, so perfect.

I went to Alalnises concert last yaer in O2 Arena in London. I usually, basically never, since my teens going to this huge concerts where you cannot really see anything. But this was exception. I needed this. I am so glad that she came back with her honest lirycs and great music. That concert lifted my selfconfidence, to carry on. After so popular Jagged Little Pill, Such Pretty Forks in the Road is my favourite. Really deep. She is a true artist.

Both sides are labelled as Side B. Anyone else have this?

This is the only studio album in her catalog without a Japanese release. No bonus tracks, no deluxe version, no EP whatsoever. Hope we'll get an expanded version when she tours next year.

Received my purple copy today in New Zealand after delays with supply so it may be a second batch of pressings.
Sounds great, no noise that I can detect with my 40+ year ears. No warps or damage.

I have the purple edition and I am very satisfied.
No noise on any side, and the sound is very good, everything is ok!
It is true that I had to wait 1 month before having it (I live in France) and luckily my package was not damaged during the shipment, apparently I was lucky.
I still find it weird that the gatefold cover has a place for a second vinyl that is useless ... it's not very serious but it's "only" the cover.

Dynamics and all around sound of this pressing aren't good compared to the black vinyl, which seems (as usual) to be the winning pressing. Sounds like the best one may be the European black vinyl pressing, but the US one is the best I've heard so far. Also, seems like a lot of the purple vinyls were warped upon arrival to many who ordered one. Some were so bad they were distorted and unplayable.

Purchased from Amazon, received 2 x LP's one in each side of the gatefold sleeve, I thought I had a very special double album version at first, maybe some additional tracks/remixes? but alas, just the same album, twice. :) I'm playing on a decent system and it sounds pretty damn good.

The European version is far superior to the American. Just by comparing the quality of the art cover, you can see the European version is sharper and has some subtle details.

The record itself is quieter, almost refreshing when compared to both of my American copies.
There is normal surface noise but nothing extreme, sound it's good, no complaints here.

The vinyl master is quite different too. There is a noticeable amount of dead wax at the end of the record when compared to the American version. All tracks were pushed towards the outermost part of the disc.

Overall, the European version is the copy to get if you are serious about vinyl collecting.

I have the black vinyl and I can hear crackling on Her when she sings louder... :(
