i can highly recommend this pressing. its dead silent, excellent dynamics. seriously, the best thing you can do for your stylus and your ears.

Nice replica alternative if you don’t want to spend $800+ for a first pressing. Sounds just fine to me.

If you must have only one rockabilly album to show others what is rockabilly -
take this one - it is simply the real rockabilly album. the best.
Guitar on most of these tracks is not Paul Burlison. You hear the fantastic Thomas Grady Martin.
Bass on most of these tracks is not Dorsey Burnette . You hear the great Bob Moore.

I have this issue and was marked 1976 on label , not 1978 as mentioned here....

I have no idea how this compares to an original Coral or earlier UK reissue, but this is an excellent sounding (and almost undoubtedly all analog) copy, with wonderful warmth and punch, pressed on dead quiet British vinyl. Recommended.

Is this a licensed reproduction? Can't find much info anywhere.

To give a rough idea of the release date, I think I bought this bootleg in 1974 or so, and as I recall it had been out for a year or two before I bought it. Even back then this was a very expensive record if you could even find a copy (I've never seen an original). And the 8 year old me (assuming my memory of the year was right) certainly wasn't buying it even if I saw one.

I was going to buy the Bear Family RI of this but decided to take a chance with this Universal Music one since it had the MCA/Coral catalog. It sounds fantastic but I do wonder how it compares to the Bear one.
