This is an interesting random find and fits well into my jazz collection. To me, it fits between Paul Horn and Volenvider.

This is a great album of electronic music. The song, The Waiting, is a beautiful, aspirational song that builds up to great heights. Empire Builder sounds like it could be from a Tangerine Dream album and reminds me of some of Christopher Franke's work. The fact the one musician is composing and performing all of the synth work is incredible. Don't be like the other reviewer and rate an album based on a picture of someone's face - who does that? - give this music a listen and see what you think. It is different, experimental, and to me, inspiring. In 1987 it was breaking new ground and paved the way for artists to come.

One of the worst album in it's genre (new-age, ambient, progressive synth music), and one of the worst albums I've ever heard and collectorwise it means thousands of albums!!! No sense for the sonic timbres at all (despite of the high-tech synth-usage which was partly Synclavier), no melody, no dramatic developements almost at all. Very childish metaphisics and as soon as I've saw the inner photo, I suddenly felt it, only by seeing that face..... Highly UNrecommended! You better spend your spare money on something wise....
