Reviews
- Edited one month agoMy second favourite album of theirs after the first. Again, it has lovely pop oriented moments like the majestic ‘take your time’
Full of gentle lovely uplifting music.
I love the simple and effective dualistic uplifting but melancholic feel of Kember’s early music that was keyed into the Spacemen.
Before he went synth drone and his production phase.
Music for the soul. referencing Highs, Lows And Heavenly Blows (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Red Translucent) MOVLP2176
This is different than the translucent dark red that is marbled with black. I'll make a posting for that one now.- Edited 3 years ago

This sounds fantastic. I have the original CD version and the vinyl release sounds equally good. It makes me ask why so many people seems to state that MOV versions are so poor because I now have 5 MOV releases, and 4 of the 5 MOV versions are on coloured vinyl, and they all sound excellent. - I love this album. Really great repress by the excellent MOV. So nice to get it on vinyl after having to listen on CD for over 20 years! How time flies. Pete’s new album as sonic boom is also pure pleasure

My copy is also super quiet and crystal clear sound.
Cover has a high gloss laminate .
no inserts or download card, but a polly lined vinyl sleeve.
Excellent pressing !referencing Highs, Lows And Heavenly Blows (LP, Album, Limited Edition, Numbered, Reissue, Red Translucent) MOVLP2176
Perfect edition in beautiful red vinyl, no flaws, noises or nuisances, crystal clear sound for a wonderful album!
At a great price too!- Edited 6 years agoJust got the Music on Vinyl from the excellent ...Let It roll-Record shop in Camden/ Kentish Town- London. The Guy in there is an absolute SP3 fanatic. Great pressing, translucent red....way better than my wibbly wobbly original Silvertone issue l.Never thought I would see the day. Number 390/1500. red hot !!
- Edited 6 years agoStellar sounding reissue! Great job on the remastering. Nice, rich, high definition tones with great clarity and dynamics. Unfortunately, my pressing quality sucks. Non fill noise on the lead in track on side A which disappears after 5 seconds into the song, not that big of a deal just kind of annoying. A lot of little clicks and pops throughout, again not too bad, just annoying at times. The worst though is that the pressing is off center and slightly warped. I can't take watching my tonearm sway around during play, unfortunately I'll have to return this and just chock it up to a loss. Cheers if you got a flawless copy tho! The music is enormously enjoyable.
Edit/Update: I got a second copy that seems to be free of any of the defects stated above. Plays fine, flat, center, with no unwanted surface noise. Happy. - Edited 6 years agoEnjoying the album. Sounds clean with no audible pops or clicks in between tracks. Solid pressing.
