In "The Story of Isaac" Leonard Cohen gave a voice to Isaac, the son of Abraham. He turned the bible story about the folly of sacrificing children to God, into a war parable: sacrificing the young for the power of the old. By giving the song a female protagonist The Pain Teens turned the song into a haunting story about sexual abuse of young girls by their fathers - literally and metaphorically, as girls and women are used and abused for the lust of men in many ways. referencing Destroy Me, Lover (CD, Album) TR-17CD
trippy as shit noise rock with some sparse BIRTHDAY PARTY meets MINISTRY kind of pummeling behind the drum kit. Dunno why but i have the idea that FOEUTS might have been liking alot this band. Or the other way round, really. Every track has a particular flavor, so the listener's attention remains high for all the record. And that's a plus. Yes, is the first PAIN TEENS album i'm listening in full, and so far im enjoying it. I'll dig deeper on their material from now on.referencing Destroy Me, Lover (LP, Album) TR-17
Tribal-painted industrial noise rock. Like a sleazy detective tale told from a meat-grinder. For fans of Foetus, Swans, sludge rock and early Big Black (Atomizer)!
