John Lennon – Gimme Some Truth.

Brilliant release and a fitting reminder of how many great songs Lennon wrote after the Beatles. I like the new mixes and the vinyl is quiet.

I’m not too fond of some of the mixes and I wish the booklet was more than just pictures but other than that, it’s got a solid track listing and I like the poster

Great sound ruined by a noisy pressing....GZ never fails to disappoint

JL is a musical genius, gone way too soon. I found that these new mixes recently and they are phenomenal. The engineers did justice with referring to the original mix but made them sound up to today’s standards. Well done! My pressing sounds wonderful. Highly recommended!

SPOILER ALERT: I absolutely love the surprise locked groove after "Give Peace a Chance". It was a lovely touch. I Listened to the whole box straight through upon opening it and this was the perfect way to being the set to a close.

I really like the mixes on these albums but the vinyl is very noisy and side one on my copy has a repeating scratch on 'Isolation' which makes the track unlistenable. Why we the people can't get a good product for all the money we pay for these things is beyond me.

I just finished playing all my original John Lennon albums that were purchased on their release days back in the 70’s and finished off by playing this compilation. The tracks on this set never sounded as fantastic as on this set. What a wonderful set this is. That’s my opinion with my 66 year old ears and I know this topic is always subjective and mostly why I rarely leave my opinions of sound quality, but I just love this so much, I felt I couldn’t not say anything.

They did a really great job with the sound on this release. Such a treat to listen to.

GZ screwed the pooch on this one, once again. Rotten pressings.

It is priced high but it sounds nice. The best incarnation of GST I own.
