Pearl Jam – Backspacer

PJ press are the benchmark for quality sleeves inners artwork extras etc. some of the most solid gatefolds I’ve come across. Vinyl while filthy out of the inner cleaned up well and plays quiet without clicks and pops. Pass mark sonically. One of my fav PJ albums. A lot to love here and worth the addition to ur collection should u stumble upon one in the wild.

This is a great PJ album. My favorite since Binaural. It doesn’t get enough credit. A good balance of tight rock songs and ballads. A very mature album. As for my vinyl, I was lucky with my copy. Flat and pretty quiet. It was dirty coming out of the crappy cardboard sleeve but after a good cleaning it sounded great!

Nice packaging, My copy is very quiet with no noise between tracks, but it sounds very flat.

having listened this album digitally an obscene amount of times, i decided to grab a copy of this reissue. It sounds amazing. wide and very well detailed. separation on point. flawless pressing. a very pleasant surprise indeed

This thing sounds muddy as heck. Too bad. That’s it.

When was this re-issued? I can’t seem to find any info on it.

This pressing's sound is full, nice and clear, but there is alot of surface noise going on. Thankfully, that noise level is low while the music is playing. The record has many marks caused by the hard inner sleeves, which probably are the cause of the problem. On the other hand, the packaging is beautiful.

Vocals seem quite forward on this pressing, but otherwise it's pretty solid. Maybe a little muddy in parts, but fairly dynamic overall. Glad to have it.

Lovely packaging and I'm not suffering from the issues mentioned by others here - my pressing sounds a LITTLE muddy but on a decent rig, sounds quite alright. Maybe I got lucky?
