This release from Way Out West is really insane (the ultra-positive way). Each track beats the previous and "We Love Machine" is a wonderful opener to introduce what the album is going to show us. I can't find that high amount of words to describe every song as it should be honoured, but you can trust me - buy this release and you won't be disappointed.

There are 3 songs I really fell in love with. These are "One Bright Night", "Future Perfect" (it's a powerful and strengthening life soundtrack) and "Tales Of The Rabid Monk" (I can see monks dancing through monastery ruins, everytime listening to this).

There are a lot of things to love this album, but I also can tell you a worse thing. It's the cover artwork including the disc inlays. I guess the designers didn't spend much time for it. The catalogue-number is missing at the sides (it's only shown on the backside), the sleeve is only 2 pages thick and there's no much details about mastering, working in the studio or other things real fans would like to know. The great thing about artwork is the heart made of (musical-) electronic components.

I read some other ratings with reviewers who felt disappointed about this brandnew Way Out West release. I know they reinvented their style, but there's nothing about it they should hide. It's not the aim to do an album in the same way again and again. This is a "two step forward and one step back"- album, made via 80's-synthesizers and a lot of heart (look at the cover, I guess it's Nick's and Jody's heart beating). It's an album that will be listened to from parents, their children and even the one of those. I feel relaxed, powerful and happy, everytime and everyday playing "We Love Machine". I know those who don't like it, will love it if they give it some more tries. This will be a masterpiece and should really get honoured. Way Out West are the masters of Progressive House and always will be. I hope there will be another release in the near future, I am always curious what will be next!

The 8th track is incorrectly called "Ultra Violet".
The correct name is "Ultraviolet"
The source is the disc cover and official site.
On some pages on official site this track name is also wrong, but in playlists its "Ultraviolet"

Been a while since the folks from Bristol released a new CD, but sounds like they've been busy collecting-up vintage 80's drum machines and synths for this one.

A little more 'clubby' than previous outings, with some 'four to the floor' tracks - but the quality is all still there.

And the most important thing..

THE 80'S ARE BACK!

Orchestral stabs, 'pump up the volume' drum lines, swirling analogue synths, even a Phil Oakey'esque vocal on track 4.

Very nicely put together - not as chilled as I normally like, but in a Pet Shop Boys meets New Order type way, it's a great listen
