- Edited one month agoSwitched to streaming after first listen. Lots of noise. Quite warm but still sounds terrible on high-end equipment.

I'm not one of these people who think all reissues are awful, in fact, I often prefer a well made reissue over hunting for a playable OG.
In this case however I can attest to the fact that this is miles ahead of the reissues, having heard several versions.
If you have the opportunity and the scratch, get this.- Edited 23 days agoI just bought this in 2025. Everything is the same as this release except my runouts say:
Side A: LPSEEDS10 / 5414939711015 B029622-01 A1 BG
Side B: LPSEEDS10 / 5414939711015 B029622-01 B1 BG
Other than that, my copy is pristine. No pops or clicks. BG in the dead wax to my knowledge means Bernie Grundman, and every time I’ve seen him in the dead wax, it has sounded really good.
TT: Fisher MT-6225
Cart: AT-VM95ml
Amp: Harman/Kardon hk495i
Speakers: Tannoy C-8 - Excellent music, great sound - well separated, detailed and dynamic. Vocals and live instruments sounds outstanding.
Some scratches on the surface, but luckily not audible. - very inconsistent press, the opening track is full of pops, then it gets better and actually really enjoyable but towards the end of side A things get distorted and weird. Side B has Nick's voice very distorted and I couldn't listen to it so i put it back in the bag. There are also 2 mistakes in the tracklisting. Very weird press.

My copy sounds wonderful. Clear and distinguished instrumentals. punchy bass. Vocals are clear and mixed perfectly. It sounds as if some people on here just got a bad copy unfortunately. But, the actual pressing overall is fantastic, and better than most of my records! Don't waste your money on the OG. Get this now while it's still fairly cheap. - Edited one year agoSounds beautiful if you are lucky enough to get a decent copy. Mine had to be professionally cleaned for 5 times until I got rid of the nasty surface noise initially ruining a couple of songs.
- One of the most consistent albums. Beautiful, unique, and touching. Brilliant lyrics and arrangements. Truly a wonderful album. Utterly phenomenal artistry!
