referencing A Mythology Of Circles (CD, Album) FIRECD608
Owing as much to the Myst soundtrack as it does to American minimalism, this project is strangely timeless, imbued with the uncanny from the start as the instruments reveal their synthesised nature through repeat appearances. The whole album is beautiful, but particular attention must be paid to the Boards of Canada-esque Rêve-Rivière.- Edited 3 years agoWas put off playing this album by irritating crackle on both sides, but finally got the money together for an ultrasonic record cleaner and the difference is remarkable. Still some clicks and crackles, but nowhere near as much and those that are there are quieter. It's actually really nicely mastered (imo) (Heba Kadry again) and it's good to be able to hear that properly.
- I had two copies of this now - both have huge amounts of pop and crackle on side two - not the Kelloggs variety. Really disappointing as the music is sublime.
- This is utterly mesmerising. I've been following this artist for the past few years and it feels like everything has been building up to this.
- Two things on this.
1) is this entry for the black vinyl version or the dinked red and white swirl vinyl version? It needs to mentioned.
2) the release date is 13 November 2020 and not 'unknown'. Can this be changed too?
