Unbelievable.
I own quite a few pressings of this Album, from original to this one , and there are things I hear in this mix I’ve never heard before .
Very very happy with it , not to mention the beautiful gatefold , alternative cover , and booklet .
Don’t debate , if you’re A Deadhead , or Fan , new or old , hit buy .
The tonality and realism of this pressing is premium. Top notch.

Incredible sounding LP with a stereo-mix that has to be heard to be believed. So immersive & 3-dimensional that it beggars description, more like like wearing headphones in a psychedelic dream soundscape. Vinyl itself, although previously enjoyed, is whisper-quiet as well. Vive le Dead!
I can honestly say that this pressing changed the way I thought about this album. Wasn't expecting that. Hits in a way I've never heard it before - thank you, VMP. Beautiful packaging as well.
Came horribly warped, record is very difficult to remove from included paper sleeve. Sound is fine otherwise.- Just horrible. Pressing is fine and nice and clean but the music is mush with a veil over it. So awful compared to my original greenie which is in terrible shape but the sonics when not having issues with the vinyl itself are beautiful. Very disappointed with this one
These W7 originals are fantastic especially if you can find a nice and clean one pressed from a clean fresh stamper. I always recommend sticking to original vintage pressings due to many factors such as collectibility factors, sound quality with NO digital steps added in and quality control which was better back in the day especially at certain plants where the QC was a step up.- Edited 5 months ago
referencing Anthem Of The Sun (LP, Album) WS 1749
I have a mostly VG+ variant 1 that I find exceedingly vibrant and I like substantially more that my 2011 (which does not sound mastered well unless that tells more about that state of the original tapes) and the 2020 Bellman (much better than the 2011 but maybe the 1971 remix tapes are in better shape?). I admit I usually have a prejudice for the early pressings unless they are terribly mastered. They just sound “fresher”. That is the case here for me. - Just got one. Mines definitely not 180 grams, it's really thin and flimsy. It's average in sound quality. Far from terrible imho.
