I have this release, jacket and matrix match up. However, the labels say monoaural. Same black and gold Takoma dragon labels. It's definitely no proper stereo though, reprocessed mono to stereo? I guess the hunt for a mono copy continues!

My copy has labels indicating it's a test pressing- does anyone know anything about the test pressings for this release?

Further to message of Aug. 10th, 2020, you can also find "West coast blues" on various reissues, all of which came out in the 21st century, and are listed above, so the original track listing of the 1959 issue (U.S. 1st press) can be reconstructed by checking those listings.

To "Records_N_Rarities: The original pressing (which is not listed on Discogs as yet) has a track called "West coast blues" in position side 1, track 1 (A1 in Discogs parlance). If your copy has that then you have genuine 1st pressing, as 2nd and all subsequent pressings do not contain that track. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know anything about this release? It looks to me like some sort of hybrid of the various versions (I'm basing this on the album itself, Wikipedia, and the 1996 CD release). It contains I'm Going To Do All I Can For My Lord, which was only on the 1967 version. However, the version of Sligo River Blues seems to be the 1964 recording, not the later one. Also, as I understand it, The Transcendental Waterfall had about four minutes chopped off the 1967 release, but this seems to have the full version. I haven't compared any other tracks yet.

Any idea what's going on?

Have no idea source of this pressing but I think sounds wonderful. Has great presence and soundstage compared to any ‘4 men w beards’ Fahey I own. Surprisingly quiet and flat too for being pressed at United. ‘Fahey Lives’ in runout side B.

My copy of this has a booklet. Did all of them?

How come there's no listing for the original 1959 release? This second release states that it has a different track listing, but yet we don't seem to have any info on the original track listing to compare it to. I'm asking because I seem to have a copy that isn't represented in discogs and I'm wondering if I may have a 1959 original sitting in my lap. My gut tells me it's the 1964 second release but the label is slightly different with no horizontal "white lines", otherwise the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
