Fantastic LP, wild dub mixing

My copy of this Clocktower repress has A1-B1 on side A, then B2-B7 + 2 additional tracks on side B:
- Jah Jah Jahovah (Version), Ronnie Davis
- My Conversation (Version)

Looks like they are the same added tracks listed on this CD version - https://www.discogs.com/release/9495444-King-Tubby-Dub-From-The-Roots

2. Source track is Johnny Clarke ‘Fire and Brimstone A Go Burn The Wicked’
11. Should read ‘Stealing’ and ‘Stealing, Stealing’

This Jamaican Recordings reissue of King Tubby's classic "Dub From The Roots" is a very high quality pressing in my opinion! The LP itself is quite heavy, though I couldn't say the exact weight as it's not mentioned on the jacket or labels. Definitely 180 grams or higher though as it feels hefty just to pull out of the sleeve. The artwork looks great and is presented with some historical information on the back, and an interview with Bunny Lee. The sound quality itself is outstanding, very much doing the album justice which in my opinion is one of the best Dub albums ever made. Essential listening and this is a great pressing to own!

Alright. This is a decent reissue indeed, but i believe that the bass in this mix, is pushed way more than in the original. Sounds most of the time good to me. I never heard the 75 mix, but compared to my striker lee reissue, the mid and high frequencies sounded absolutely identical, but the Jamaican records has way more (added) bottom. Still a nice listen and affordable dub along Jamaican Pearl.

the first JA. pressings of this record have a master tape rewind at the beginning of the final track(Truthful Dub).As have yet to find any later pressing with this trademark from Tubbs. The dubs on this LP,also appear on Abraham's Dancehall Dub Clocktower press albeit minus two tracks. This later release is often credited to Sly and Robbie and not Bunny Lee's session men the Agrovators.

One of the earliest Dub albums, this is pretty aptly named, Dub from the Roots as presented by the Dubmaster himself, pioneer of the dub remix, and someone who has left his mark on modern music, King Tubby. "Highjack the Barber", "Invasion", "Double Cross", "Declaration of Dub" and "A Truthful Dub" are my highlights.
