Had two copies now and I can't confirm that this is a good pressing. Both had crackling and pops on both records, always within the music and good as no backround noise between. A typical pressing issue that sadly seems to be quite normal these days. It actually is a fantastic compilation what makes it even more annoying.referencing Cafe Exil (New Adventures In European Music 1972-1980) (2×LP, Compilation, Stereo) XXQLP2074
The cover is worth the price of admission, but the compilation itself is as good as it gets. Great liner notes w/ historical context and observations about each song/band. Good pressing.referencing Cafe Exil (New Adventures In European Music 1972-1980) (2×LP, Compilation, Stereo) XXQLP2074
Great compilation that showcases creative european music from late 70s. Great to see how british and continental artists influenced each other during these years. Pressing is also very good and liner notes provide an interesting background for the bands and tracks compiled.- Edited 4 years ago

Absolutely blinding collection of tunes. Bob Stanley's comps on Ace have always been high quality, but I think this one is the best yet. Toni Esposito and Annette Peacock tunes are early favourites but there isn't a duff track.
