Asobi Seksu – Citrus

picked one up new this week in ATL and my IDs match, but I have neither the hype sticker seen in the images nor a mp3 coupon/download. can def confirm that it sounds fab on my system and I'm so happy to finally have this shoegazey classic in my vinyl collection!

Sounds great, crispy highs and fat low end.
Mediocre pressing tho, some surface noise remains even after a thorough wet clean. Plus staticky, sticky, printed innersleeves, so the new, still sealed record came with hairlines already.

How does it sound compared to the single LP version?

Anyone know of of any manufacturer defects with this pressing? I just purchased a copy that appeared mint (and still in the shrink wrap) from a seller on discogs, but unfortunately both LPs are very warped and have strange waves or ripples in the vinyl that I can see and feel….like nothing I’ve ever seen before! Sounds really muddy with lots of static, can't even test the lp 2 because it's so warped. Devastated!

I imagine it must have been stored at too high a temperature or maybe bad timing with overseas transit during the recent heat waves. Sigh.

the bass and low frequencies in general are meh.
Mid and high range are beautiful. If not for that hum on low side, would've been perfect. Maybe it was recorded this way or some mastering thing. Maybe my speakers suck but I never heard it be that bad for similar albums.

Just happy to have this in my collection. Been a fan since my early 20s, such a pitty they broke up.

This album truly stands on it's own in the Dreampop / Shoegaze universe. No comparison.

Reissue please. This album is lush and dream-like shoegaze that comes off with the most colorful of sounds.
