got some audible surface noise, but its not enough to affect the sound quality and tone of the record. overall, it sounds great and the color/packaging is wonderful
Guess I was blessed with a good copy since there's no audible surface noise to me. I was originally confused about the mix on "I'll See You..." (I thought it sounded a bit muddy compared to the other tracks), but it makes sense after reading the mastering notes in the booklet. Bummer that they weren't able to recover the raw mixes for that track.
Aside from that, I'm really enjoying the new mix—the drums sound like they have a lot more punch and bite, and everything feels like it has a bit more breathing room.- A must-have for fans of surface noise. Hopefully this album gets a black repress someday using the same audio, sounds extremely good.
honestly, a stunning remaster. i was skeptical at first but this pressing was 100% worth it as an American Football fan. sounds clean and clear with no surface noise, the subtle changes in the mix sound great, and the LP looks even BETTER. Killer design and packaging. Definitely a figurehead in my collection.
Anyone who loves this album should get this cut. Noticeably better than my 2006 pressing in both dynamics and quality of vinyl.- The sound quality on this is unbelievable. The drums are so crisp and defined. You can feel every bass kick. Dead silent on my system after cleaning too
damn this packaging is top notch. beautiful heavy gatefold, glossy and clean. nice transparent hype sticker too if you’re into that.
the record itself? gorgeous. sounds incredible, quiet, CLEAN, and flat. beautiful color on it too. incredibly impressed and satisfied. ~2 songs per side can be a bit annoying but absolutely worth it.
highly recommend- the guitar and drums on you should be leaving now makes it seem like you are in the room with them. Drums are louder, but as they should be they are so well done. Dead silent pressing.
Surprisingly, dead silent (after a thorough wt clean admittedly) and sounds absolutely brilliant. Very well done remaster, the lossless streaming version on Tidal is amazing aswell!
