It appears this LP had low sales and now there is little demand. Those people are all making a mistake. Or maybe it's because this release is a best of compilation and nobody knew about it. Whatever the reason, the Isleys had better sales results elsewhere and this is a tremendous album widely overlooked.
This release brings the wonderful harmonies room to stretch on material you would never expect from a primary R&B artist. The Isley Brothers know how to bring themselves into any music and make it theirs, yet somehow stay faithful to the original. Fresh versions of one recognizable tune after another, surprising you with covers as varied as "Fire & Rain" and "Ohio" mixed seamlessly with songs closer to their own genre such as "Love the One You're With" or "Work to Do" or their own hits sprinkled in this 2 LP set. Highly recommended.
