- Edited one year agoWhat a banger record !!! I clearly hear sample from "The Function of Force" (Mark Verbos - The System [Drop Bass Network 058]) on Pump Dept (at 3:52 & 4:47). You can also hear it longer (more acute) on "Pump Dept (A.P.'s Pumped Up On Coke Remix)" (Stay Up Forever Remix 040) from 3:32.
- For me personally, I think it is very rare that a record is released with an A and B side that are truly 5*, amphetamine or cocaine + pump dept definitely falls into that catogory. Both are to me what sums up acid techno. Full of rhythm, tempo and a dirty techno beat with a streak of experimental vocals and synths sliced perfectly into its guts. This isn't just a stand out record for routemaster, but a stand out record for the whole techno scene. Play this at a rave and the dance floor melts. A must have for and techno head x
