The Clash – London Calling

Anyone else have "offensive" sticker, gold promo on back, normal retail labels, but no custom inner sleeves? My inners are just plain, but definitely have age to them, they don't look like replacements.

My copy has time durations for the songs on the labels. No issue with the center hole being "off." Mine was a used copy so it was cleaned of debris. Sill had a few flecks of something but came off with the my record brush. Mine might be a newer copy than the orignial run in 2013 as well. Perhaps Epic/Sony listened to complaints and corrected the issues listed below with later pressings.
A few songs sound a little "sludgy" to me especially on Disc 1. Side 4 sounds amazing from start to finish though.

Timtom strikes again, hands down the best pressing of this classic album

Brilliant album through and through, one of the best of the punk era. The Clash are one of my favorite bands of all time and this was their finest hour. Each song flows so perfectly and by the end of disc 2 I want to play it all over again.

Thought I'd pop on in and echo what everyone else has said. Yes, this pressing is excellent. Flat, quiet and BEEFY sound. You can tell right from the opening notes on London Calling. Once the bass kicks in, you know this pressing is gonna be great. I spent about three weeks researching the best copy in regards to sound and affordability and this is what I went with. I was able to snag one off Amazon by searching "88875112701" in their search bar. I figured it would be a gamble if it was the right pressing, but indeed it was! No "We Are Vinyl" hype sticker but every other aspect matched up. And once again, it sounds terrific. Listening at this moment via headphones and it just sounds so full, alive and warm. No inner groove distortion as well! Which tends to be an issue on my headphones setup. Go get this pressing now!

Very good album but not exactly my cup of tea

I must say, this 1981 reissue of London calling sounds excellent.

Bought it at CIRCA: NOW! RECORDS in St. Louis and must say: very little issues with this one.

Center hole is off on both records, but they both sound really good. Pretty dirty with flecks of paper from the sleeves, as others have mentioned as well. But they cleaned up fine.

This sounds so good! I only have an orig Aussie copy to compare to be fair but they almost sound like different albums, this has so much punch to the heavier tracks and so much subtlety as well, I am hearing stuff I didn't hear before. It is a lovely package overall, heavy tip on jacket, clear and almost silent vinyl. Terrific separation between voices and instruments and a wide soundstage, this was never really an album I thought of as having a soundstage or even as being a remotely audiophile recording but I was wrong!! And man can you crank this, which is only right....THATS MONTGOMERY CLIFT HONEY!!!
Why oh why did they only do 1500 copies of this????
