Soen – Imperial

My copy sounds perfect, no wobble at all. Great album.

Got Black and Translucent Smoke versions.
Black vinyl has more mid and bass, closer to the CD version, but with more dynamic
Translucent Smoke sounds open on high and scooped in the mids
They both have a bit of surface noise, a tiny bit more than normal, but not as much to compromise the listening.
Lotus (white) is actually worse in terms of noise

My own copy sounds good. What a relief! But the surface have slight visible but inaudible scratches. But the record after unpacking not seems a new one. Careless attitude at the factory I think

I would expect this clear version (300 copies) to be more expensive than the translucent smoke version (900 copies).

Maybe I got one from a new batch or something but there's nothing wrong with my copy.
Sounds great, no surface noise whatsoever and perfectly flat.
And it's a great album!! Masterpiece.

My copy also had a lot of defects. Very loud backround noise, warped and out of center on both sides. How I hate to receive releases like this! In some parts the backround noise is as loud as the music. Argh. Don't know if sending it back for a replacement makes sense due to the experiences reported here...

I have the good one. So, not every copy has a fault A side. It seems the Silver Lining says a truth (I'm about a Ferryvanreede post from March 6, 2021)
