A bunch of straight album versions compiled in no discernible order, heavily skewed towards the debut, which is represented by 6 songs out of 9(!). "Ha ha ha" and "Systems" both get only 3 songs. Why is that I've no idea.
Surprises here are few and far between. The opener is the non-LP single "Young savage", also notable is the first inclusion on CD of the rare B-side "Cross fade" (flip of "Quiet men") - the original fade-in version. Last upside seems to be the good, not brickwalled sound.
All in all, only a purchase for uber-fan who has to have everything. In 1999 it was made completely redundant by "The Island years" CD which is your best bet if you want to sample the Foxx era of the band. It has all the songs featured here and more + a much better booklet.
