In the early's 80 a Remix meant an extended, dance-friendly version of a pop song. Remixing involved hiring a famous DJ like Shep Pettibone or Francois Kervokian to apply their knowledge to the task of adjustinga song to fit dancefloor requirements, given that records originally mixed for radio or domestic hi-fi sound systems tinny compared to records designed for club sound systems. This example above is not what you're saying: "The end of originality". DJ's are responsible for the rebirth of many artists. In this case (it still happens nowadays) DJ's are called to transform a song. This is basic into the DJ culture. If you don't understand that, you are in wrong place.
