The chorus goes: "Woke up this morning, got myself a gun." A truly stupid lyric if you ask me, I hate all the ranting from Nas on this track about guns! The instrumental on the other hand is one of my favoutrites for scratching over a really heavy beat with with a nice piano melody!
You're Da Man hasn't had as much recognition as it deserves, maybe not a club rocker, but a dark tune with some excellent production. This one gets played all the time.
