Really excellent pressing - cut loud without feeling overly limited. Great instrument separation and warmth. Hip hop can sound amazing on vinyl - you just have to find the right pressings. This is one of them.

like the other reviews said, bad sound quality unfortunately. my copy even has a loop in it, but that could be from me handling it. hope it gets a better repress. i've had some get on down pressings for awhile and am just now playing them, i hope this is just a bad press and the rumors about them are true.

My copy sounds okay, it's not as vibrant as some others in my collection, but it isn't bad enough that I feel like I need to return it and get another pressing. The color is disappointing like everyone else is saying, but the disc still looks good.

I wish it was a better pressing, but overall I'd rate it about average.

2023 press sounds great to my ears. It also clearly has the "white swirl" effect which many complained was not apparent on the first press.

The new hype sticker does not have the Record Store Day logo. Not sure if that's sufficient for a new discogs entry.

My copy has two discs. Back of disc only mentions a remix of Thugz Mansion and says nothing else on the contents of the second disc.

I'm glad it's not my ears then. My copy sounds muddy even when I turn the bass down and the treble up on my amp. Disappointing.

This is the last time I buy a pressing from Get On Down. It Was Written was OK except for the constant pops on 2 songs. But God's Son...from "Get Down" to "Last Real Nigga Alive" it was non stop crackle. "Zone Out" sounded clean then the 2nd half of the song Is when the pops started. That lasted until "I Can". Sides C & D played perfect. Unfortunately for me sides A & B is the best half of the album. Get On Down is just too inconsistent to keep buying pressings from them.
