Bought this when it was labelled as the 45rpm version from a retailer. To my surprise it had a 33rpm sticker on it and said it was made in Europe! There was no record of it on Discogs so god knows how rare this edition is since I discovered its existence by chance and got someone to create the posting. It is a great pressing of the album but I’ve only ever had the clean version on vinyl so that’s the only edition I can compare it to, which obviously it beats easily.
Best NaS record I own. The OG represent is CRAZY!!! + NaS is like!?! Lost Tapes goes without saying. Classic album. Classic press. ILL WILL FOREVER QB WHAT UP!!!
Is this record also 45 RPM like the OG pressing?- This Represent Demo 7'' is a HEATER and a must for any Nas fan. Salute to Hip Hop 50!

This pressing vs. others wins. There is some sibilance here and there but for the most part, it slaps, the reissue just sounds flat, unfortunately.
Edited one year agoThere’s also a limited run of 1,000 that includes a 7” with DJ Premier’s unreleased original mix of “Represent” and the clean B-Side version of “Nas Is Like”.
Edited one year agoUnfortunately my copy does not sound great - I've always stuck up for Get on Down (because they are easily the best curated hip-hop label right now) despite mixed opinions on QC, but they let me down on this one. Side A is super noisy and the album sounds more compressed on wax than it does on streaming.- The definitive pressing of a classic album. Incredible bass with perfect clarity. The 45rpm makes a huge difference on this one.
- The Tracklist on here is wrong, this actually only has four songs on it. Buyer Beware!
